Meghan Benzing is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in North Dakota who provides individual therapy services to adults ages 18 and older. She has experience working at the University of North Dakota's University Counseling Center helping emerging adults navigate through anxiety, panic, depression, grief, trauma, stress, life transitions, perfectionism, and low self esteem.
Meghan approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and genuine empathy for each client's unique experiences. She believes each client has the capacity for healing and growth even in the midst of pain and uncertainty. Her approach is collaborative and individualized, and she often draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and person-centered principles with the aim to help clients understand the patterns and experiences that may be contributing to ongoing distress, or keeping them feeling stuck. Meghan supports clients in building practical skills for navigating life's challenges with greater flexibility and self compassion. She has additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention. Throughout the therapeutic process, Meghan strives to hold hope alongside clients as they rediscover their own, believing that meaningful change can be built through small, intentional moments in everyday life.
Outside of work, Meghan enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending UND sporting events, reading, running, camping, and painting.
